Knowledge Day at the Prof. R. V. Merkt Department of Technical Cybernetics
On 1 September, Odesa National Maritime University held ceremonies marking the start of the academic year. We welcome first-year Computer Science students to our department!
The start of university studies is an important milestone. We are glad you chose our faculty, and we are confident that your studies will be interesting and rewarding.
After the university-wide assembly, the students were given an introductory tour. First-year students looked around the university grounds and became familiar in detail with the department's classrooms.
During the meeting, the students:
got to know one another;
met their academic mentor, Associate Professor M. V. Rozum;
talked with the department's lecturers, who told them about the features of their upcoming courses.
The Head of the Department, Professor M. O. Malaksiano, addressed the students. Mykola Oleksandrovych welcomed the new students to the start of their studies, spoke about the prospects of the specialty and the importance of technical knowledge in today's world. His speech inspired the students to take their studies seriously and to take an active part in the life of the department.
The department wishes the first-year students success in their studies, easy exams and a genuine interest in their chosen profession.
