The department in numbers
Classes are held in 9 computer labs equipped with 250+ modern computers. The department also runs a teaching and research laboratory equipped with modern computers, network equipment, and robotics hardware.
Department history
The department was founded in 1965 on the basis of the automation and electrical-modeling laboratories, under the name "Department of Automation and Computing Technology"; since 1984 it has been named "Technical Cybernetics." The electrical-modeling laboratory once had equipment unique to the field and significantly influenced the creation of similar units in other cities.
