A landmark meeting between our university and EPAM, a leader of Ukraine's IT industry.
As part of building a partnership between our university and EPAM, a leader of Ukraine's IT industry, a landmark meeting took place. Leading managers and specialists of the company visited us, including Oleksandr Tkachenko – Head of EPAM University, Yurii Hanenko – Operations Manager for the southern region, Serhii Harashchuk – Head of the Delivery Office for the southern region, Yurii Yevstafiiev – Head of the JavaScript practice, Oleksii Tesliuk – IT Services Manager and Oleh Shaparenko – Communications Manager, who gave an open presentation for students. They spoke about EPAM's activities: the company is now the largest in Ukraine, with more than 9,000 specialists across various fields. Students learned about current technologies, career prospects, and opportunities for internships and professional growth at the company.
In addition to the general meeting, a working session took place with the EPAM delegation and the management and lecturers of the Prof. R. V. Merkt Department of Technical Cybernetics and Information Technologies. The key topic of discussion was establishing fruitful and systematic cooperation. Participants discussed practical ways to bring the company's experience into the educational process and joint steps to support talented young people.
The meeting resulted in a number of agreements on further cooperation aimed at modernising curricula and organising practical training for students. The visit was an important step in strengthening ties between the university and the IT business. The partnership with EPAM opens new opportunities to improve the quality of education and to prepare future specialists in line with current labour market requirements.
